Wednesday, June 28, 11 am: “Tips & Talk” at the Oakland FamilySearch Center. Come chat with volunteers about genealogy-related topics, and stay to explore the library’s many resources. This week, “Breaking Down Your Brick Walls” with CGS researchers Pat Smith and Evan Wilson, who both have experience working on tough cases. Pat is the California Genealogical Society Research Chair. Monday, June 26, 7 pm: DNA Skills Special Interest Group. Prerequisite: Completion of CGS DNA Series or equivalent DNA class/experience. Must have uploaded DNA test results at one of the common DNA websites. For information, contact Mark McLaren.

Wednesday, June 28, 6:30 pm: RootsMagic Special Interest Group. Helpful hints for using the RootsMagic software. Topics include review of various screens and functions of RootsMagic, with group suggestions on best usage and practice.
