Monday, July 10, 1-5 p.m. Digital Archiving Committee. Volunteers needed to help digitize CGS’s unique collections so they can be made available online. Snacks and fun included! To join us, email Ron Madson: [email protected]

Wednesday, July 12, 11 a.m.Tips & Talk” at the Oakland FamilySearch Center. This week, Denise Plaskett discusses “Connecting with Others on FamilySearch.” This class will show how to connect with other FamilySearch contributors, learn how you are related to them, and how you can contact them. Also, learn how to use the Center’s photo and video digitizing equipment. Feel free to bring a lunch and hang out afterwards. Free. Preregistration appreciated: Click here to register.

Special Interest Groups

Wednesday, July 12, 6:30 p.m. CGS Members’ Roundtable. This monthly chat allows members to share their questions and ideas and get to know one another. Particularly for new and remote members, this will be an opportunity to meet and feel part of the CGS community. Meets via Zoom. Contact Lisa Gorrell or Jacqueline Henderson for more information. Saturday, July 15, 1 p.m. Family Tree Maker SIG and RootsMagic SIG. Special joint meeting. Guest speaker Pierre Clothier gives an overview of Charting Companion,™ a creative genealogy chart-making program which works well with both FTM and RootsMagic.
