Wednesday, May 17, 11 a.m. & 7 p.m.: “Tips & Talk” at the Oakland FamilySearch Center. Preregistration requested. This week: Lisa Gorrell and Jennifer Dix lead a discussion of Newspaper Websites. Feel free to bring a lunch and hang out afterwards to get help with your genealogy and/or use the library’s many resources. Free.

Saturday, May 20, 1-3 p.m.: Family Tree Maker Special Interest Group. Hybrid monthly meeting for FTM users. This month: “Dup(licate)s, Orphans, and Unattached People.” Also, a discussion of the latest FTM update. Library is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. for those wishing to attend in person.

Sunday, May 21, 2-3 p.m.: SLC Research Trip Info Session and Virtual Meetup. A chance to ask questions and meet others interested in our planned October trip to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Your guides are Evan Wilson and Stewart Traiman.

Library hours: We are now open by appointment Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please email [email protected] no later than 7 p.m. the night before to let us know you’re coming!
