The world-renowned Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

During the long months of closures brought about by the pandemic, many genealogists have yearned to get back to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, one of the world’s largest genealogical repositories. While closed, the FHL underwent extensive remodeling and it reopened last July with newly organized research materials, upgraded technology, better lighting, new desktop book scanners, expanded room for interactive experiences, and more. Just last month CGS member and popular instructor Pam Brett made the trip (her 35th) to the library. On December 7, Pam leads an informal conversation about what she found, and how to plan your own successful research trip to Salt Lake. The event is free to members ($10 for nonmembers; fee may be applied toward a new membership). Mark your calendars for this fun discussion!

Tuesday, December 7, at 6 p.m. Register through EventBrite.
