Recently, we told you about the Applied Genealogy Institute, a practicum-based learning course launched by CGS member Lisa Gorrell, along with Mary Kircher Roddy and Jill Morelli. Friends of the late Donna Hansen Peterson have organized a scholarship in her name which will allow one student to attend AppGen this fall. Donna was known for her love for learning and expanding her genealogical horizons. She was a student in the ProGen and NGSQ study groups at the time of her death in July. Members of her book group including Gena Philibert-Ortega created this scholarship to honor her memory.
Details about applying for the scholarship can be found at the AppGen website: https://appliedgen.institute/scholarship-opportunity-fall-2021/
