Many of us are familiar with Google maps, using it for directions or to view different locations. Google’s My Maps allows users to create custom maps–it’s a fantastic and easy-to-use research and analysis tool. Maps can be shared with others, making it a great way to present your research to family and friends. This webinar will go in-depth to demonstrate exactly how to create custom maps, including inserting lines, shapes, images, text, and more.

Cari Taplin is the owner of GenealogyPANTS (“I have a quirky sense of humor and worked for a long time to find a NAME for my business that wasn’t just my name or some variation on ‘trees,’ ‘roots’ or ‘ancestors,'” she says.) She’s part of the Genealogy Squad team, and offers lectures, seminars, and classes on a wide range of topics.
