Judge and Sherman Books Now Available on our Website

by Chris Pattillo (11/2/2021)

Sherman book published in 2017

Recently the Board of Directors made the decision to make two of our books available on our website. They are The Ancestry of Theodore Timothy Judge and Ellen Sheehy Judge and The Ancestry of Samuel Sterling Sherman and Mary Ware Allen by Frederick S. Sherman.

Each of these books was completed during the presidency of Jane Knowles Lindsey with the support of many other dedicated CGS members. For the Sherman book major contributors were Georgia Lupinsky, Kathy Beals, Matt Berry, Cathy Paris and Shirley Thompson. The team that compiled, edited and produced the Judge book included Judy Bodycote, Lavinia Schwarz, Patricia Smith, Richard Rees, Laura Spurrier,  Judy Zelver, Lorna Wallace, Barbara Dyer and Bill O’Neil.

Both books are still available for sale in hard copy through our account at Lulu. Look on the Shop page on the Publications Menu. Now members can download PDF copies from our website.

If you have been contemplating writing your own family history, each of these books provides an excellent example of how to approach and organize such a project. Each of these is a testament to what can be accomplished with a group of dedicated volunteers.
