head shot

Ron Arons speaks at NGS on Friday, May 27.

We can hardly wait for this year’s National Genealogical Society conference, “Our American Mosaic,” scheduled for May 24-28 in Sacramento. CGS is the local host society! A number of the speakers are CGS members. Over the next weeks, we will be highlighting each of these speakers. Today:

RON ARONS presents “Sex, Lies, and Genealogical Tape” on Friday, May 27, one of the talks in Methodology. He will explain how individual-focused genealogy allows a researcher to understand why your ancestors lived the life they did and how they had a direct impact on you. Ron is a veteran genealogist and an “acknowledged expert on Jewish criminals of New York’s Lower East Side.” His books include The Jews of Sing Sing and Mind Maps for Genealogy.

If you haven’t yet registered, now is the time! Early Bird Discounts apply through Friday, March 18. Complete schedule and registration details are available at the Conference website: https://conference.ngsgenealogy.org/

Volunteers wanted! We need lots of help to keep things running smoothly. Even an hour or two makes a difference. Please take a look at the Volunteer Sign-up Sheet and see what slots are open.
