Copy Services
To request copies of book pages you need to complete the form below. Use this form when you already know that your ancestor is mentioned in a specific source (book, journal, article, etc.) You can search our Library Catalog for your ancestors’ names. Our volunteers will make copies of pages from books if you tell us what information you are seeking.
We impose a limit of 10 pages in order to avoid exceeding the fair-use limits of copyright law, and to keep things simple we impose that limit even if the book is out of copyright.
We charge $10.00 ($7.50 for members) per lookup.
To order copies, fill out the form below. If the person you name isn’t listed in the book’s index we won’t search it for you; for that kind of work see our Research Services page for by-the-hour work. If you know the pages that you want copied list them in the Pages field; if there’s a time range that you want us to focus on put that in the Year Range field. Finally select a payment method, either PayPal or Pay By Mail, and click the Submit button.
If you choose PayPal you’ll be taken to PayPal to pay and your request will be emailed to our research committee. If you choose Pay By Mail you’ll see a PDF of the filled-out form; please print it and mail it with your check to the address at the bottom.
