I wanted to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior today with a writing of his I Have a Dream speech.  I did not cut and paste.  I listened and transcribed.  Myself.  I wrote it out in my journal and savored each word.  For me, the words are meant to honored much like one does in a wine tasting.  You notice and document every flavor.  I’ve linked to the speech here.  In case you would also like to treasure and honor the words.

The speech, given on August 28, 1963, was given for the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.  1963. This was not that long ago.  I wonder what his speech would be today?

For some levity, I thought I would share the activity I had my children do many moons ago:

UPDATE:  I still cannot fly, my son is not magnetic, my daughter is not President, but, all things considered, the happiness is abundant!

NOTE: I’m so sorry.  I wrote some posts that I thought I scheduled for last week while I was out of town, but I did not schedule!  Sorry to be MIA for a week!  I will save them for the next time I’m out of town.
