Do you have any sources you use for genealogy that you think are strange? I think my eBay (eBay.com) source is a bit out there, but I do enjoy the things I find!
From a small town in Iowa where my 2nd great grandparents settled:
Russell Iowa 1974 Cookbook Faith United Methodist Church recipes IA Midwest cook
US $16.99
There are scans of several pages and I see at least one distant cousin. Sadly, I’m certain that neither the recipe titled, “Salad” made of orange Jello, pineapple and cheddar cheese nor the rather nasty-sounding chicken casserole featuring a cream of mushroom soup and cheddar cheese are likely not “old family recipes,” so I’ll not be purchasing that book, but it was fun to look at!
1912 cover & letter University of Minnesota School of Agriculture to Russell IA
A letter to A.G. Woodman from her son who is away at college. Not my family, but the envelope and letter are there scanned for all to read before deciding if they would like to purchase.
I also previously purchased a paint can opener with “S. Mariani and Sons” listed on it. This is the family that is not mine that I wrote a book about and now collect Mariani trinkets for my shadowbox.

I have all these searches saved on eBay, so I get an email when the searches pull up anything new for me.
Where do you look that you think the rest of us should join in?
