We’re enjoying our weekly “Tips & Talk” gatherings at the Oakland FamilySearch Center. Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. and again at 7 p.m., we invite visitors to join us for fun, free discussions about genealogy. Ask your questions, get help, and learn useful tips for your research. In general, the discussions cover one of four topics:
Got Questions? – conversation driven by participants’ interests
FamilySearch.org – Useful tips about this vast compilation of genealogical information
Free Subscription Databases at OFSC – introduction to one of the paid-subscription databases, available for free at the FamilySearch library
General Genealogy Topics – specialty topics; varies by week
This coming Wednesday, March 29, the topic is Intro to Genealogy. View, download, and print the complete “Tips & Talk” schedule HERE.
